A new standard for regulated scalable liquidity infrastructure powering the next generation of institutional crypto derivatives
Miami, FL – February 3, 2026 – Rails, the regulated crypto‑as‑a‑service infrastructure provider powering institutional crypto derivatives, has launched Institutional-Grade Vaults on the Stellar network, a breakthrough in digital asset infrastructure designed to finally bridge the gap between traditional finance standards and the rapidly growing crypto derivatives market.
Institutions are increasingly demanding efficient access to crypto derivatives, but fragmented infrastructure and regulatory uncertainty have slowed adoption. Rails is addressing this head-on by leveraging Stellar's high-performance blockchain infrastructure as the foundation for its regulated, high-frequency trading architecture, creating a unified framework for institutional-scale liquidity.
“Building deep liquidity for institutional derivatives requires blockchain infrastructure at scale. Stellar's tech stack enables us to launch regulated, externally-managed vaults with high-speed settlement, on-chain verification, and the performance needed for transparent, liquid markets” said Satraj Bambra, CEO of Rails. “By combining Rails’ regulatory-grade trading framework with the Stellar network’s efficient settlement layer, we’re setting a new benchmark for what compliance forward, scalable liquidity can look like in the digital asset economy.”
Closing the Institutional Infrastructure Gap
Traditional brokerages, fintechs, and institutions have hit a core challenge with crypto derivatives: existing solutions often fall short on delivering regulatory favourability, deep liquidity, and fast execution simultaneously. With Rails, partners can now receive institutional-grade derivatives through a single backend integration without the proprietary infrastructure required.
“Financial institutions are ready to engage with digital assets, but only through infrastructure that meets the standards of global finance,” said Raja Chakravorti, Chief Business Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation. “Stellar was built to allow money to move with speed, transparency, and trust. Institutional-Grade Vaults on Stellar unlocks compliance friendly, verifiable infrastructure that institutions can rely on as they scale into digital asset markets.”
Powered by Stellar: Scaling Transparency and Performance
Rails' integration with Stellar brings high-speed, transparent trading to institutions. All user deposits and withdrawals will be processed on Stellar, while transactions are cryptographically rolled up and published on-chain every 30 seconds, providing verifiable transparency without sacrificing privacy or trading performance.
Rails’ architecture, combining centralized execution for sub-millisecond order matching with on-chain custody for verifiability, ensures performance and trust coexist in a single system. Expanding its product suite, Rails will also introduce options trading in Q2 2026.
Institutional-Grade Vaults: Liquidity Infrastructure at Scale
As part of this partnership, Institutional-Grade Vaults will launch and bring scalable, regulated liquidity to institutional participants. By separating liquidity provisioning from user custody, the rails-vault design eliminates fund commingling and reduces systemic risk. Every transaction is recorded on-chain for real-time auditability and compliance verification.
Externally managed vaults on Stellar will enable deep, verified, and transparent liquidity that grows with institutional demand. Vault usage will also drive ongoing utility for the Rails Token, with protocol driven supply balancing mechanisms tied to institutional adoption metrics.
Rails is registered under the Virtual Asset Service Provider Act and Securities Investment Business Act with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), and is pending registration as a U.S. Introducing Broker with the National Futures Association (NFA). Rails has facilitated more than $3.4 billion in trading volume since inception, underscoring market demand for institutional-grade, trading infrastructure.
